Cover design for Your First Triathlon Guide

For this project, the author already had a solid manuscript. I edited the text to optimize for readability in eBook form: informal tone, short sentences, and short paragraphs. Then I designed the cover and formatted the text for Kindle and ePub.

For the cover design, we considered many possibilities illustrating the three sports in triathlon, but in the end, the author preferred this inspirational image. The book is a practical guide to getting started in triathlon, but it’s also very inspirational. I don’t consider myself to be athletic, and triathlon is about the last thing I would have considered on my own, but reading this book made me want to try it. The cover design captures the excitement, desire, and anticipated accomplishment in the book.
