On the other hand, when you self-publish through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing program, you have two choices. If you set your price in the $2.99-$9.99 range, you earn 70% royalties on all sales. Outside that range, you earn 35%.

Of course, there are other things to consider, such as the time it takes to for the book to be published, the connections offered by a publishing house, and the amount of control you want to have over the process.
